About The Event
Unlock the gateway to whole-body relaxation and rejuvenation through the power of Thai foot massage.
In this 4 hour course, you will learn the benefits of Thai foot massage and how to prepare both yourself and the receiver to be able to effortlessly give and comfortably receive a 30 minute session.
Thai foot massage, also known as Thai foot reflexology or Thai foot therapy, is a therapeutic treatment that originated in Thailand. It's based on the belief that there are energy channels, or "Sen" lines, running through the body, and that stimulating specific points on the feet can have a beneficial effect on overall health and well-being.
This class is offered to individuals that want to learn the proper body mechanics, and how to use a wooden Thai foot massage tool (included in this course).
A 30 minute session is often focused on stimulating the Sen lines on the feet, which correspond to different organs and systems in the body. By working on these points, the practitioner aims to restore balance and harmony to the body's energy flow. It also involves gentle stretching and mobilization of the feet and ankles to improve flexibility and relieve stiffness. It can be an add on to a therapeutic massage session, and it can also help couples learn how to effectively massage your partners feet for an ultimate relaxation effect.
In this transformative course, you will learn:
- A complete 30-minute Thai Foot Massage routine
- Preparatory protocols for pampering the feet
- Techniques for seamlessly incorporating oils and lubricants
- Mastery of the Thai reflexology stick for enhanced precision
No prior massage experience is required.
Massage therapists will receive 4 CEUs approved by NCBTMB.
Massage Tables, Thai Mats, and a Thai foot reflexology stick are provided.
Please bring a set of linens to cover your table or mat, lubricant for the feet such as shea butter, cocoa butter, or other emoliant foot lotion (no oil), and two hand towels.
